Fees

Our psychology session fees are $270 per 50-minute session. If you obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP you will be provided with a rebate of $149.05, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. You can also access the service as a privately full fee paying client which does not require a referral. Some private health funds provide rebates for this service. Private health rebates are completed by the individual, with full invoices provided by email once full payment has been received.

Rebates

Sessions with a clinical psychologist are eligible for a Medicare rebate if you are referred by a General Practitioner under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Program, or if you are referred directly by a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. The Medicare rebate for a 50-minute or longer consultation with an eligible clinical psychologist is $149.05 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

We require full payment of your session at the time of your appointment. We then submit your claim to Medicare electronically and they will send your rebate to your registered bank account. Find out more information about the Mental Health Care Program here.

Cancellation Policy

Shepherd’s Hill Psychology has a 24 hour cancellation policy (before 9am the day before your appointment). If you cancel or reschedule your session after this time, we charge a late cancellation fee of $100. Email and reminder messages are provided 48 hours before each session.
